Physical Infrastructure All personnel in the PSRDC have personal computers that are networked with high-speed fiber-optic lines and routers into Institute-wide data servers housed in the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute (FMHI) Office of Information Technology (IT). On the main data server (a Windows-based, four processor system with over 2 TB of workspace) the SAS System is used as the primary analytic platform. A second Windows-based (dual processor) server is dedicated to analyses involving Medicare data. A third server provides Microsoft SQL database services and houses secondary data. Information contained in the PSRDC reposited datasets is highly confidential; operating procedures ensure the privacy of individuals who appear in that data. Those procedures include:
We also undergo periodic reviews by national experts to evaluate policies and practices regarding confidentiality, privacy and compliance with HIPAA.
